Declan O’Brien appointed Managing Director of IFAH-Europe, Susanne Zänker to take on Senior
Position in another industry association

Brussels, Belgium, 19 April 2005: After more than 12 years of involvement with the
European animal health industry association, IFAH-Europe, previously FEDESA,
Susanne Zänker will leave her current post in July to become General Director of
A.I.S.E., the international association for soaps, detergents and maintenance products in
Europe.

Susanne Zänker’s work with the animal health industry started in the technical field for
FEDESA to focus more recently on the management of IFAH-Europe.

Mr. Brian Clark, Chairman of IFAH-Europe, expressed his regret at the Managing
Director’s departure and thanked her commitment. “Dr. Zänker’s work was instrumental
in the establishment of a strong and effective IFAH-Europe. She has brought an
appreciated contribution to enhancing the political stand of our association.”

Effective July 2005, Declan O’Brien will assume the position of Managing Director of
IFAH-Europe. He is currently Director of APHA, the Animal Plant and Health
Association in Ireland and has many years of experience leading this dynamic
association. Declan commented “I am delighted to be joining IFAH Europe at this
exciting and challenging time. My experience in the chair of the Committee of National
Associations means that I am familiar with the workings of the association and I intend
to hit the ground running!”
