Managing Director Appointed at IFAH-Europe
European animal health industry representation enhanced

Brussels, Belgium, 27 October 2023: IFAH-Europe is pleased to announce the
appointment of Dr Susanne Zänker as its Managing Director. She will take up her new
position on 1 November 2004.

A German national, Susanne Zänker graduated as Doctor in Veterinary Medicines from the
University of Liège and completed several externships in Germany and in the College of
Veterinary Medicine, University of Liège. She then joined Boehringer Ingelheim
Vetmedica GmbH as Product Manager, Biologicals, in the Marketing Department.

She has been with IFAH-Europe (formerly FEDESA) since April 1993, during which time
she has gained significant expertise in the technical and regulatory fields, occupying the
positions of Technical Co-ordinator, Technical Manager and for the last four years
Technical and International Affairs Director.

At a recent meeting of IFAH-Europe’s Council, Dr Zänker expressed her delight with her
appointment and underlined that she was looking forward to taking on the range of
challenges facing the European animal health industry with IFAH-Europe. She added 'I am
particularly eager to begin my new role in representing the European industry at the
major European and international decision-making bodies.'
